Obeya was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2017. She is an innovative lawyer with keen interest in the law and its general application. She is involved in active litigation and is well abreast with the technicalities and expertise needed to handle highly sensitive matters in all courts and tribunals of competent jurisdiction within the country. She is a solicitor who is very much at home with commercial transactions. She takes pleasure in preparing high profile contracts/agreements by prioritizing the interest of her clients. She is equally active in legal compliance; company pre- incorporations and post incorporations matters with the relevant corporate bodies in Nigeria. She provides legal advisory services to individuals, corporate bodies, and multinational corporations in various areas of law including Employment law, Property law, Environmental law, Oil and Gas Law and Marine time law to say the least. She has adequate experience in matters of Matrimonial Causes and has successfully handled petitions on dissolution of Marriages.
As an Associate in, and a member of, the Firm’s Litigation Team she successfully defended the interest of clients in oil spills, contract, land/community and labour/industrial related matters.
Obeya also has a genuine interest in other fields of study which has led her to acquire professional certificates in Project Management and Health, Safety & Environment Programs. The knowledge of which she applies in her practice as a legal practitioner especially in key areas such as case management, business strategy, business proposals, risk assessment management and legal advisory.
